    New Years Eve fireworks

This was my first really big fireworks show. HOW COOL?! So it was at this whole festival of lights thing down in Columbia. It was a long line to wait in a tent with a ziillion people for bad food but man, the fireworks were sweet. I literally could not take my eyes off of it! We didn’t hang out afterward to check out any of the lights at the festival of lights but again, wow on these fireworks.

  • Playing a bit of pool

So when Henry and Nancy had to give away the pool table, dad REALLY wanted it. Mom said no. So Jenny and Nik got it. That did not stop me from hooking up a killer pool game to sharpen my skills. Oh yeah, watch out ladies. Here I come.

  • Christmas 2010

Ho ho ho. It is Christmas again and we were off to aunt Jenny and uncle Nik’s house for the occasion. We even got what the news folks were saying was “ambiance” snow. That means it snowed like an inch or so but it did make for a cool window scene while we opened the zillion and one presents that were strewn about the room. Paper was flying all about, toys stacking up all over, and the need to open 200 battery covers with tiny screwdrivers. Dad and Nik loved that part the best. All in all it was a pretty standard holiday. Breakfast and dinner at their house and fun all day.

    Trying on Wheelie glasses

At a holiday party I ran upstairs, turned on Wheelie’s computer, put on her glasses and did, well I am not quite sure what.

    Brunch at Dori’s

Aunt Dori really wanted potato latkes but didn’t want her house smelling like fryer grease. Enter Dori’s parent’s house. The food was great. Big fun for th e day was seeing Chuck’s discus collection in his basement. (those are really cool, big, fish in case you were wondering). He is a bit like dad in his “hobbies”. They end up turning into auto-flushing, auto-dimming, ph-measuring, tidal wave creating, moon simulating, UV simulating, salt balancing, worm feeding (got to see that), oh well you get the picture. They were damn cool though. Then, off to his other obsession, birds. I got to use these fancy binoculars to look at all the birds in the myriad of bird feeders outside. Then, just because we were bored, I got to wear a Gary Coleman mask. Why? Who knows but it was pretty darn funny.IMG_1586IMG_1587

  • Helicopter obsession

Off to the mall today. (shocked I know you are). We are strolling along minding our own business when all of the sudden I was faced with what might possibly be the best toy ever made. The only issue here is that I have absolutely no clue how it works. I stand in awe of this amazing invention. Mom and dad concur that this is a bad purchase for Christmas even though dad continues to make arguments for it. Mom is standing strong.
