Some things you just can’t explain, you just have to do. Mom and dad found it quite amusing my reaction to escalators. I did indeed find them a bit puzzling but after a few spins I was sort of getting the hang of it.

Stoneleigh Try-Athalon
Mom and dad responded to a post online for a volunteer tent for the annual “try” athalon in the neighborhood. While I am a bit young for it, we volunteered for the tent donation and dad went down with me to check it out. Tons of kids doing all sorts of running, swimming, and biking all at a very early hour. I was literally jumping out of the stroller trying to get into it. Maybe not next year but soon, I am in.

Last Belvedere of the year
All god things must come to an end. Alas Belvedere was no different. After a summer of london broil sandwiches, sangria, processed chicken pita sandwiches, lawn chairs, and Buffet cover bands we finally have to hang up the Mexican blanket and call it quits. It was really fun though. The crew was there with the addition of aunt Jenny’s dog Sadie. Pretty crowded this week but that was to be expected I presume. Until next year…

Pushing the cart on my own now
So mom and dad continue to push me around everywhere in the stroller, the blue car, whatever. Well I am 15 months now, I ain’t no baby no more. I jumped on out and insisted on pushing this thing myself. Actually, I have a blast when I am doing this. Dad is a little confused as to why but I am pushing this everywhere. Dad thinks it is hilarious.

Bristle blocks, uh, rock.
So yes, bristle blocks, they rock. Although dad seems to like them a bit more than I do. But h shares a bit. Dad says that he had these when he was a kid. No really, he doesn’t share. But we are finding a common ground now. Here is our airplane. Dad helped.

Dinner at the Ambassador
We finally found our way to the Ambassador to visit Neepa. This place was unbelievable. Seriously, some of the best food in Baltimore. We loved it. Mom and dad dramatically underestimated the dress code. It was funny. They walked in wearing shorts et al meanwhile the waiters wore tuxedos. Then, there was me. I was running all over the place. Turns out they loved me anyway. I kind of had free reign over the place in the back so it was great. Even got a doggie bag for later. The eggplant appetizer thing was friggin’ sweet.
