I guess every parent has to have them. Since I am mostly holding myself up and running all over the place now I am regularly up and prone to blackmail shots. Dad was getting a bath ready when this one happened. He vows to pull it out (sans the “censored” mark of course) when I am a teenager and being less than cooperative. For this post we have bleeped out the embarrasing parts as this is a Rated G post people!

And we have liftoff!
Well today I gave mom quite a shock when she walked back into the room and I was standing up! Ok, so I was holding onto the crib but dude, I was up. Luckily for dad, he happened to be on the phone with mom at the time coming back from a biz trip so he got to hear the shocking news. Then mom sprinted downstairs and grabbed her cel phone just in time to get this wonderful shot of me in the act.

Starting of a new tradition
So aunt Dori and uncle Dan live very close. Very close. So, now that we live nearby, mom and Dori like going out together. A good time all the time. Dad and Dori plan Phish shows while dad and Dan plan Motley Crue shows. And I like pooping at Miss Shirley’s. Can’t seem to go here without pooping. This time a really annoying lady saw dad changing me in the bathroom but proceeded to know on three separate occassions even though she was well aware of what was going on. Some people are just not smart and, rude.

Drinking from a big-boy cup
I have the hang of the bottle no problem. In fact, I love it. I can even manage a sippy cup although I don’t like it as much to be sure. Dad drinks a TON of water and always out of this huge cup that has fascinated me since day one. So, I thought I would take control and see what goes on with this. As it turns out, almost my entire head can fit into this sucker. Made drinking a bit of a challenge but making noises in there makes some very sool echos. I tried for like 10 minutes before finally giving up and letting dad go wash the cup as I had drooled all over it.

Cousins at lunch
So daddy Nik had to work, daddy Matt was working too, so the mommies Shelly stepped out for lunch. Something a bit mischievious in this image. An almost eerie foreshadowing of say 10 – 12 years from now where this picture will look quite a bit different. Something like Sam saying “I swear, Cooper made me do it” and Cooper saying, “well, perhaps”.

Been here 2 days and already helping dad build stuff
Well, helping is a loosely defined word here; a bit more like licking the light cover and trying to eat the screwdriver but who is keeping track anyway? Dad was on a tear today putting things together, taking things down, building, screwing in, moving, unpacking, and generally getting motivated. Mission one, light in the bedroom. As he generally does not love putting in ceiling fans, I thought I would lend a helping hand to make the process a bit better. I almost have the hang of a screwdriver. Next step, power saw! Ok, not really but a guy can dream can’t he?

Well I guess now I have to be a Ravens Fan? Right?
The answer is possibly. Now that we have completed the move mom and dad are “from” a few places. Dad was from California so, theoretically, he could be a fan of a few teams out there. Then, they both went to school in New England so that is also an option. (OK, not really, but they did live there). Then we all lived in NJ just outside of NY so we have a few more options there. However, as it turns out, mom’s home team is where I ended up. Timing was good though as the Ravens made the playoffs the day after our move so of course I donned the Ravens onesie. The whole neighborhood had purple everything. Quite an impressive show of support for the local team I must say. So, I did my part…
