  • Baby presents for the not-so-babies

Clearly dad is out of the loop because he was the only one who had no idea that both Sam and I were to have presents prior to the birth of baby Riley. Uh, duh! Who does not know that? I mean really. Well turns out that mom and aunty JJ think alike with the Darth Vader thing. Random presents are awesome.

    Ice cream never gets old

Dad tried to power wash the deck today and failed when he found out the power washer was broken. He found out that the hardware store was closing in 5 minutes so off we went, as fast as we could go. Dad literally dragged me down there. To make up for it he bought me ice cream. It was gooood. I tried to jump around on the table of course and scraped the heck out of my face on the cement bench. Mom was not thrilled with dad but who cares, hey I got ice cream!

  • Pre-Riley Science Center trip

So mom and dad decided to take me out for a day on the town. They even got suckered into buying a membership there. They argued that it was a good “value” as I would go there a lot. As it turns out, I have actually been there several times since this post was made. This could actually justify this as a valid investment.

As for today, it was great. The science center has 3 full floors of stuff plus an IMAX theater and we spent 90% of the day downstairs in one room where the dinosaurs live. Man I love that room. Seriously. Mom was unpleasantly uncomfortable due to the walk 1/2 way across the inner harbor with Riley in her belly. She got over it just about the time we left. It was a great day though. A bit cool out but eating at a pizza place though. All around a great day.

    Pool shark in training

Dad brought his pool cue home and I learned promptly how to open it. Inside was four wonderful weapons of mass destruction; two halves of two pool cues. It took promptly one second to learn how to swing these around at a thousand miles an hour. Dad had to stop that immediately needless to say. As it does turn out though, just the shaft part is just about the right size for me. Dad may not have baseball chops but he knows his way around a pool table for sure. This was my first official lesson. Real balls and a table to follow.

Mom says we are screwed if dad is to be responsible for teaching me how to play sports. Well I think as this video clearly illustrates that dad’s athletic prowess, while not of professional caliber by any means, is getting me a’ going.

  • The address song

Susanna has a great theory on teaching kids stuff. In short, make anything a song. We have songs for a few things. This is one in progress about my address. I had done this a few times straight through no problem then dad grabbed the camera. That was the end of that. While this was not the best one we had, it is still not bad.

    Passed out

I put up a solid front for the most part. Sometimes though, I just can’t take it. Today was one of those days. I just couldn’t stay awake any longer. Mom was just sitting there on the couch and well, Riley made for a good pillow. Chalk this up to just a random cute picture.

  • Riley’s new stroller

Dude so now tons of stuff is a’ coming in this house. I can take the small stuff but this thing is huge! I will say though all this stuff to put together has been pretty fun. We got this thing put together in like 10 minutes. However, getting pushed around the living room a few times while checking out my new standing platform on the back of the new stroller was quite fun. Mom doesn’t know if she is going to keep this one but I like it.
