  • More bedroom hijinks

We promise not to make this a regular posting habit as the bedroom is really quite boring but one more to illustrate the true breadth of use of this room was needed. Seriously, when it is time for me to go to bed, it is all hands on deck up there.

Oh yeah, by the way. Today was 10-10-10. How cool is that?

  • Hay ride 2010

So this is what mom and I were doing while dad was riding in his century. This is right down the street from grandma Laurie’s house so it was pretty convenient.

  • Riding dad’s bike

So dad rode another century today while I hung out with the fam. (see the other post from today). When dad got back, I NEEDED to go for a ride on this bike of his. So, I jumped up, dad put me on, and we drove around the block. Dad was somewhat perplexed at how I was staying on the bike despite the fact that I was sitting on the bar, but hey. Every neighbor too was laughing at the sight of dad pushing me down the street while I hung on as dad does when riding. Nothing like a baby on a road bike to get the neighborhood buzzing.

  • Bedtime stories

    Bedtime stories

Dad would like me to tell you that reading bedtime stories since the advent of the “big boy” bed has been much better. Now, parental units can actually read while IN the bed. Dad would also like to note that this change has also made it more tempting on Saturday and Sunday mornings to simply bring the iPad up and watch TV from that bed. I am digging this bed too. Mom and dad don’t even realize that once they leave, I run around for an hour afterward. Seriously, don’t they hear me running around?

  • Samantha’s Birthday

So today we went off to Samantha’s birthday. Everyone in Susana’s family was there and it was in a diner not too far away. They had rice, beans, shrimp tacos, deserts, etc. Man, I did not stop eating for hours. Mom and dad had like 10 tacos too. (you know how they get around tacos). When it came time for cake I was first in line. Yes, ahead of the birthday girl too. Well, they pushed me to second eventually. By the end of the party I had eaten my weight in candy, cake, and deserts after eating my weight in tacos. The car ride home was mostly me in a sugar rage followed by passing out. All the hallmarks of a good party.

Oh yeah, there was a face painter too. I had to do it until I realized there was stuff on my face. Then I had to wipe it off immediately.

  • Neigh Weekend

I had a very big weekend this weekend. First of all….I GOT TO RIDE A PONY! As my auntie JJ can tell you, there was a time in my life where horses scared the bejeesus out of me. I cried hysterically when she tried to just show them to me. But after a lot of therapy and self inspection, I came to realize that these gentle animals are awesome. So this weekend, there was a fundraiser for a local horse shelter and they let us come and ride on their ponies and pet the donkey and the goat. It was a lot of fun. I also got to ride a “pretend horsey”…aka…a stick w/ a horse head on it. That was tons of fun. I literally could have done that for hours. It was a great time and a great cause and we’ll definitely go back next year.

On Sunday, it was my friend Samantha’s birthday. She had a Spongebob themed party with this awesome cake. Basically I ate cookies, cake and ice cream for 2 hrs straight. All of Susana’s family was there and spoiled me rotten. I also got to have my face painted. I got a cool smiley face. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the way it felt, so I wiped it off right afterwards…but atleast Mommy got a picture.

Finally, it was Grandma’s bday! So we ended the day with a fun video chat with her and grandpa. I even got them to read Zoom City to me from California. Crazy technology!

Ahhhhh….I’m exhausted now. I’ll need a couple of days to recover. 🙂

  • New shades

So REI’s were a little on the pricey side. Mom opted for Target. These got here just in time for lawn mowing with dad. Oh yeah…

  • Day of shopping madness

Between RV shopping and a random trip to REI, I had my hands full today. The RV place has a cool racecar which occupies me for the entire time. REI held plenty of fun too; bike helmets, sunglasses, electrolyte candies (which mom and dad selfishly did not include me in).
