First MD doctor appointment; 9 month well visit

So we were off today to the first Maryland pediatrician’s visit. All went as expected except I just couldn’t keep still. Also, the paper was simply too much fun to avoid. I tried eating most of it and after 5 minutes of plucking paper out of my mouth, dad thought better of it and took it away. Why is he always taking stuff away? Then shots. Yuck! Three more. Don’t even know what they were but needles suck. Now my legs are going to hurt all day. I may even get a fever! Yeah! Can’t wait. On the bright side mom and dad are getting the car detailed today so I can ride around in style when I am feeling better.

    DOG FIGHT!

So I see Pugsly and Wednesday doing this all of the time and it just looks like fun. So much fun in fact I thought I would join in. Turns out my lack of teeth and somewhat unstable center of gravity have left me at a specific disadvantage to joining in this game of tug-o-war. I am taking notes though and anticipate a strong summer showing.

    Fun with rope

Seriously, today could not have been a nicer day. Ridiculous. It was non-jacket weather out there all day. Dad had been in Hoboken all week and mom met him in the city. They came home today and uncle Nik and aunt Jenny helped dad put in the new microwave. (taking out the hood first. Boy, that was sure fun). I did get to watch dad use a reciprocating saw and a drill. I love tools. Anyway, I digress…

So while dad and I were waiting for everyone to arrive, I discovered ROPE. Turns out I can eat it at one end and, when I shake it, it sends a wave all the way to the tree across the patio. This was very cool. Dad laid down on the concrete to give me a bit better base. Moral of the story here, I love rope. And yes, you can eat that too.

    Helping dad on the laptop

Every once and a while dad gets crazy on the laptop and I have to step in and lend a helping hand. In this case, he was all over a client who just could not keep it together and kept changing things like mad. Oh well, enter cute baby and all is better. We ended up hanging out in the office a bit and passing a bit of time by dad playing keep away from me with the laptop.

    Painting the living room

So after a few weekends of cutting holes in the ceiling in the living room (it looked like a whack-a-mole board) dad finally got the holes filled with lights and speakers. Now, time to paint and clean this mess up. While dad was doing his thing, I was pitching in by manning the brushes and vacuum hoses. Although I have tried and not liked it in the past, I continue to taste the vacuum tube. Never gets any better but it does not stop me from trying. Today’s tools: the Wagner paint roller, spackle tools, and a vaccum-attached sander dad used to keep dust from going everywhere.

  • Making a fire with dad

    Making a fire with dad

I noticed quite a few things on this blog involve me, tools, now fire, and, dad. Perhaps mom should keep a closer eye on me? At any rate, dad showed me how to make a fire. Having never seen fire before, I was incredibly impressed and quite a bit confused. Very cool to look at, very fun to listen to the popping and the crackling, but every time I tried to get close to feel it (and by “feel” I mean “eat”) it got INCREDIBLY hot and I had to pull back. Funny, didn’t look like there was anything there but man, that sucker gets HOT! After a bit of this I got bored and tried eating bark off of the logs. Then, well, it was time for bed. Aunt Viv came over though for a home cooked dinner so they all got to stay up and play with the fire. I wonder if they got to taste it?

    My first piano

So as you know we moved. What this also came with was a bit more space. So dad brought out the piano and we are gearing up to put this puppy back in action. For now it is on the floor of course but I cannot wait to make noise on this puppy. Naturally mom won’t have this anywhere but the basement so dad will just have to drag me down there and let me play this but I can’t quite manage the banjo so I feel this is a bit more my speed. Plus, unlike the banjo, this comes with headphones. (mamma no hear)

    First big snow

Just a few pics of the first big snow we have all been here for. Very light but a lot of it and all day. Neat seeing the house filled with snow. We spent a lot of the day in the basement taking pictures. Not much else to do really.
