  • Slept Through the Night!

A red letter day in history, yes peeps I slept through the night! That’s right, all of the way through. That is 7pm through to 8am. Crazy huh? Granted I have a cold now too but hey, we take victories where we can get them.

  • A Hampton Tradition Continues

So dad got up early this weekend and decided to cook a foofy breakfast. In an homage to our upstairs neighbors, he decided to center the recipe around Brinley Gold Coconut Rum. Final result? Brinley Gold, apples and cinnamon reduction over whole grain French toast. Yummy!

It has been a long standing Hampton tradition to sit the kid on the counter and allow them to watch the cooking process. By chance my bouncy seat fits exactly I’ve the sink. So I watched the dicing, the reducing, the batter and the whole nine yards. It was cool. So
Eday dad may even allow me to stir something. Hey, you gotta start somewhere right?

Mom joins kickball, and kick you know what

So it had to happen sooner or later and now is that time. Mom joined a team; a kickball team to be exact. Prompted by dad’s friend from high school Danielle, mom was able to sign on to be the newest member of the team “Smell ya later”. Sweet name eh? Dad accompanied her down there to Mama Johnson field in Hoboken where she met her new teammates. This was a lot of fun (although I was at home asleep with grandma, I was there in spirit).

First time at-bat she got on base and was subsequently batted home by the next kicker. Pretty sweet. Although bad resolution, dad was able to capture a few iPhone images below. More to come I am sure but this was the first. Yeah!

    Mom Goes Back to Work

We all knew the day was coming, we all ignored the inevitable but the march of time cannot be stopped. Not by mom, dad, baby or the unbelieveable denial of the fact that three months is three month. That means back to work mom. She “celebrated” by Bjorning me on a 10 block walk along with grandma and the three dogs. Way to celebrate eh? Dad caught up with us just coming home. I was beat and needed a bath/bottle/bed so it was perfect timing. Tomorrow they try both working.

    Lucky Number 3

So three months it is folks. Three months, can you believe it? Crazy man. So to commemorate the occassion, aunt Jenny mailed us this spiffy stomach-spinning-wonder that I just can’t quite figure out yet but it is so cool, I am all over it.

Then Pugsly had to jump in on the action and say hello. I was happy to oblige. Posting a gallery of third month stuff too so take a peek at that!

    See ’em here!

    Heaven, Hell or Hoboken

In 1917 Americans were off to WWI. A few million of them got there via Hoboken. Believe it or not Hoboken was the primary point for sailors to ship out. General Pershing was once quoted as saying “by the winter on 1917 I will have all of you in heaven, hell, or Hoboken”.
Dad thought this amazing show should be my first museum opening. He was right. The show was good. A little funny watching dad wander my stroller through the crowds (mom skipped this one) but aside from that, great introduction to museum life.

  • CRABS!

So in light of summer winding down grandma planned a big crab feast. Although I was asleep during most of the adult time we were thankfully able to get this shot with me and a rather big crab. I dig these things. Dad was kind enough to wash this guy off ahead of time so that I was not all “Old Bayed”. Not good enough for mom though who insisted on putting a napkin on my lap. Crab feast número UNO is officially in the can.

  • My Hoodie for Hurricane Hanna

So we went to Maryland today just in time foe the hurricane. Sweet. Actually for us here “hurricane” is more like a bit of rain and bad skies. Mom thought this hoodie was pretty cool to keep me warm today.
