  • And I Flipped For Real

So mom took me to the park today to play on the fake grass. Strange eh? Fake grass? Anyway, not the point. So I just about had enough of this bobble head immobility. So, I decided to flip over and make a run for it. Didn’t work. Turns out, still got a bit of the bobble but no arm strength just yet to carry me away. Taking after mom and dad in almost every way, I didn’t accept the first result and tried again. Two flips and no escape. Oh well. I suppose I am stuck with these folks for a little while longer.

  • San Francisco Baby

On this, our last day of the trip, it decides to be a record breaking heat wave in California. Got to 110 in a few places and about 105 in most. Geez! So dad went Dow to see Gris and Tami to congrat them on their news of a girl (looks like I may have another girlfriend in the works). Meanwhile we met him in SF and strolled Pier 39 for a bit then off to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. 105 everywhere else and SUPER nice in SF and alar freezing on the bridge. All said, great way to spend the last day in CA. Grandpa’s pool got to 90 so they all went swimming at night too. And tomorrow we are off!

  • Bocci Balls Away!

So grandma and grandpa are all into having fun these days and part of that is getting their bocci on. As I saluter their youthful exhiberance I have to say it was hotter than hades out there. Needless to say I was not thrilled. A bit crabby I was. We powered through though and all was good. These folks do take their bocci pretty seriously though.

Not quite big enough head just yet but that didn’t stop dad from snapping a few pics of my shades. Even in California mom still had to hit up Target. Addiction is a powerful thing.

  • I Think Grandparents Went a Bit Nuts

Ok so I think perhaps they went a little crazy here. Contrary to what you may think this truckload of food is not for the latest relief food drop to Bosnia but rather for the 45 or so people coming to my California baby shower. Um, wow. We will be eating ham and cheese rolls for a month.

  • My First Airplane Ride

So mom and dad ripped me out of bed at 4am, dragged me to Newark airport and plopped me down in the window seat where I stated, more or less in this position, for the entire 6 hour flight. I didn’t make a peep the entire time so first flight without a hitch; check. Hanging in San Francisco for a bit with grandma and grandpa for the first time so I will have more to reprt shortly.

  • Attempted Bike Ride

Well there is some saying about “paved with good intentions” that I think I have heard somewhere. Mom and dad got off to a good start attempting to go bike riding. Picked a park that had nothing but paved roads, got a nice sunny day, had a top of the line baby seat professionally installed and even had me in a good mood. However, no helmets are made for babies under 1 year so they were out of luck. We had to settle instead for a quick picnic on the grass and a 45 minute walk past the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. Good enough but not quite the ride they were hoping for. Unlucky. Oh well, it was cool anyway. Dad found one of the only shaded areas in the whole park to eat under. It was pretty warm otherwise. Dad was psyched that he spent forever packing up the car, bikes and rack etc just to do nothing. How great is that.
