    A little tease…

So this week we were supposed to get a big snow storm. Instead all we got was rain. And today, it’s 65 degrees. So we are taking advantage and spending some time at the playground. It will probably hurricane tomorrow.

    Mini daddy

Dad finally breaks down and admits defeat. So mommy is en route home tonight from a trip. So I decided I wanted to stay up until she gets home. I snuck downstairs while dad was doing dishes and scared the hell out of him when he turned around and I was standing there. He made some reference to something called “the shining”. Then I conned him into letting me sit down and wait. That was 7:30. We them watched a few shows. Then a few more. Then it was food time. I conned him into making popcorn. Then, when done, I stole the rest of his. Then carrots. No small ones so dad peeled a few and we ate them. Then more shows. Then… This is Coopers dad. It is now 10:30 and he FINALLY fell asleep on the couch. What 4 1/2 year old rocks out until 10:30 at night eating popcorn and chilling out watching TV? Oh wait…

  • My art show

It is that time of year again, my art show. This year was a lot of fun. Dad and mom both came and we checked it all out. Even Riley joined in on the action. After checking out my stuff we saw a bunch of other kids’ things too. Dad had a good time checking out everyone’s stuff. Plus, they served Nilla Wafers so everyone was happy.

  • Visit to dad’s office

As if NYC was not enough, dad ALSO took us to his office. Yeah! I got to sit in his chair, play with the Nerf guns everywhere, eat leftover cupcakes, and run around like crazy. We even helped put some shelves together. This place is a lot of fun. Now, we gotta drive all the way home. That part isn’t going to be as fun.

  • My first trip to New York City

WHOA! What a day. Man, we packed a lot in. First, up early and out the door by 8am. Then we watched two whole movies in the car while we went up to NYC! We got into Hoboken and went right into “the city”. Checklist item #1 : my first PATH ride. Did you know that thing goes under the water?

Then it was parting ways with mommy so she could go see a play with her friend. Dad then took over and we were off to the museum. Well, sort of. The orange circle B train was not working so we had to go all the way downtown to then go all the way up. (whatever that means). All I know is that it took us three elevators and four trains to finally get to the museum. Geesh. Checklist item #2: rode my first subway (and then a bunch more).

Then we finally got to the museum. This place looks like a giant castle! It is huge. We had lunch and spun through the entire place. They have a whole floor of dinosaur bones man! We got to see a zillion animals, bones, indian things, the giant bubble gum popping statue guy from that movie (he was cool), and dad even rolled us in the stroller when we got tired. We even saw how the indians played lacrosse! Checklist item #3: my first trip to the Natural History Museum.

Then back to meet mom and friend after the play. Dad got there a lot faster this time since the downtown trains were easier. We got off just as mommy got out and we went up to meet here. Dude! This place had TV screens the size of buildings. This place was nuts. That plus about 100 Elmo guys running around snapping pictures with people. We scooped up mom and took a 10 block walk to look at the huge buildings and just see what New York was like. Checklist #4: my first trip to Times Square.

Then it was back on the PATH to see daddy’s office. Man, that was cool too. They just had a big party there so we got to eat a ton of candy and play with a lot of Nerf guns (why did they have so many of these things anyway?). Since mom was off seeing another friend, dad put us to work and had us help him build his shelves. Then, we were outta there and back on the road. Checklist #5: my first trip to daddy’s office.

Whew! What a long day! After all that we STILL didn’t go to sleep for an hour into the trip. Dad said it was TIME to sleep. We eventually did. All in all, great day. Check out the pics…

    Today we mourn…

Slightly, for Bert (or Ernie, we don’t quite know). A noble frog with a life span of one year average lived to past three. This is the other one here eating the whole dinner by himself. Sad day indeed. Sir frog, you shall be missed.
